Anti-money-laundering policy
Last updated 30 October 2026
Our position
SuperVest does not facilitate money laundering, terrorist financing or sanctions evasion. We apply controls proportionate to the risk each account presents, and we cooperate with lawful requests from competent authorities.
Risk-based approach
Not every account carries the same risk. We assess each on factors including the country it is opened from, the size and pattern of funding, the networks used, and whether the behaviour fits what the account claims to be. Higher risk attracts more scrutiny and more evidence before funds move.
Identifying customers
- Every account records an email address, a name and the country it was opened from.
- We may request government photo identification and recent proof of address at account opening, before a withdrawal, or at any point risk indicators arise.
- We may refuse to process a withdrawal until verification is complete.
- Accounts that fail verification are closed and any funds returned to their source where lawful to do so.
Source of funds
- Funds must come from a wallet or account you control. We do not accept third-party funding.
- Deposits are matched against on-chain records before crediting.
- We may ask how you came by the funds and decline a deposit if we are not satisfied.
Monitoring
We review activity for patterns including:
- structuring — repeated deposits just under a reporting threshold;
- rapid in-and-out movement with no apparent investment purpose;
- withdrawals to addresses unrelated to the depositing wallet;
- funding inconsistent with the account’s stated profile;
- exposure to addresses associated with sanctions, theft or illicit markets.
An account may be frozen while a review is carried out.
Prohibited sources and destinations
- Funds derived from criminal activity.
- Individuals, entities or vessels subject to financial sanctions.
- Jurisdictions subject to comprehensive sanctions.
- Addresses we assess as linked to illicit activity.
Reporting
Where we form a suspicion, we report it to the appropriate authority. We will not tell you that a report has been made, because doing so may itself be an offence.
Record keeping
Identification evidence, transaction records and the reasoning behind decisions are retained for at least five years after an account closes, or longer where the law requires it.
Responsibility and training
A named officer is accountable for this programme, for reviewing escalations and for making reports. Anyone handling accounts is trained on these obligations and on recognising the patterns above.
